Payment and Refund Policy

Terms:

  • Researchers fund their research by paying through the app.
  • Participants earn rewards (paid to their in-app wallet) after completing questionnaires.
  • The platform manages the flow of funds between the two parties.

1. Payments by Researchers

  1. Funding Research Projects
    Researchers are required to add funds to their Datat account in order to create and publish questionnaires or research studies.
    The funds are used to compensate participants and to cover applicable service fees.
  2. Accepted Payment Methods
    We accept payments through secure third-party payment processors (credit/debit cards and Mada).
    All transactions are processed in SAR unless otherwise specified.
  3. Account Funding
    Once payment is received, the amount will be credited to the researcher’s in-app balance (“Research Wallet”).
    Researchers can use this balance to launch or manage active research projects.

2. Payouts to Participants

  1. Eligibility for Payment
    Participants become eligible for rewards once they successfully complete and submit all required responses to a questionnaire.
  2. Payment Method
    Payments are made automatically to the participant’s E wallet “STC Bank” after successful completion and validation of the questionnaire.
  3. Verification and Security
    To protect against fraud, we may review and verify questionnaire completion before releasing payments.
    Delays caused by verification or technical issues will be communicated promptly through the app.

3. Service Fees

  1. Researchers may be charged a service or transaction fee for the use of our platform.
    The applicable fees will be displayed before completing payment.
  2. Participants will not be charged any service fees for receiving payments.
    However, third-party payment providers may apply standard transaction or withdrawal fees.

4. Refund Policy

  1. Refunds for Researchers
  • Refunds are available only for unused balances in the Research Wallet.
  • Once a research project has been launched and participants have begun responding, the associated funds become non-refundable, as they are reserved for participant compensation.
  • Requests for refund of unused balances must be submitted in writing to support@datat.me
  • Approved refunds will be processed within [7–14] business days to the original payment method.
  1. No Refunds for Participants
    Payments made to participants are final once transferred to their wallet and cannot be reversed.
  2. Refund Exceptions
    Refunds may be granted in exceptional cases such as:
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Technical errors in processing payment
  • Proven cases of fraud or unauthorized activity

All refund requests are subject to internal review and must comply with our Terms and Conditions.

5. Disputed Transactions

If you believe an incorrect charge or payout occurred, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction at support@datat.me
We will investigate and respond to your inquiry within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Currency and Taxes

All prices, balances, and payments are displayed in SAR.
Researchers are responsible for any applicable taxes or financial charges related to their payments.
Participants are responsible for complying with local tax regulations on any earnings they receive.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Payment and Refund Policy from time to time.
The most current version will always be available within the app.
Your continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
